Healthy French Toast
Serves 1
Ingredients: 1 egg 1/2 cup milk of choice Dash of ground cinnamon 2 slices of bread (the darker and seedier the bread is, the better) Pinch of salt (Optional, all for serving) About 1/2 cup sliced strawberries and blueberries to serve Honey or pure maple syrup to serve Punch of leon zest to serve Method: Whisk together the eggs, milk and cinnamon until well combined. Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium heat and spray lightly with olive or coconut oil spray. Dip the bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly and allow to soak for a few minutes on each side. Cook the bread slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Serve the French toast topped with the blueberries and strawberries and drizzle with honey and lemon zest. This recipe is inspired by Kayla Itsines x |
